Definitely a Theme
This fawn and its mom crossed directly in front of me as I was driving this afternoon. Lucky for me, no one was behind me, so I was actually able to stop, roll down my window, and take these photos.
Yes, it’s spring and soon to be summer; aka prime ‘baby’ season. I know. But I nevertheless feel especially blessed (or loved, or however you want to look at it) by the powerful and moving recent, specific instances of creatures living the highest expression of their creativity and in one way or another sharing that energy with me.
It occurs to me that on Sunday night (at 10:56 p.m. EDT, to be precise), we will experience a New Moon in Gemini.
As we all know, the New Moon is a fertile time to be starting something new, planting the seeds of an idea, or undertaking a new direction in life (just to name a few of the innumerable . It thus feels especially appropriate that we’re encountering all these examples of NEW LIFE as we approach this New Moon.
Perhaps it would be a wise to spend some of our day tomorrow taking stock of what we really want to begin (or begin again?) at this New Moon.
The fact that it’s taking place in Gemini (meaning both the Sun and the Moon will be together in that sign) will probably reveal (or create) situations in which there’s a lot of communication – or a need for more communication. Overall, Gemini tends to be friendly and quick-witted, and I have a feeling there may be a lot of inspiration zipping through the air.
Prepare yourself to snatch the lightning when it hits.
At the same time, I’m reminded that we need to remember this little fawn from earlier today – and be GENTLE with ourselves as this New Moon approaches. Remember: we don’t always have to be starting something new every 30 days! Many projects take far longer than 30 days to complete, so if you’re not inspired to start something new at the moment, perhaps the best use of this creative, inspired energy would be to express curiosity and perhaps a new attitude toward something you’re already in the midst of creating.
There’s also a lot going on in the outside world this weekend. While I’m not going to comment on any of that with specificity, I am going to suggest that, instead of focusing on that which clamors for our attention, we instead tend to the opportunities and circumstances that appear in our immediate environment and family, such as with our brothers and sisters and close friends that feel like family. They’re all connected to Gemini energy too.
And probably the single most potent gift of Gemini is the power of communication.
I actually happen to know a pair of people who are getting married tomorrow. What a perfect time to be starting a new life - on the eve of a New Moon! My greatest wish for them is that they continue to hone their communication skills with themselves and each other – and have fun doing so! Never stop striving to understand and be understood. It’s essential for your greatest happiness.
Maybe that’s why Hawk showed up the other day as well. The Messenger.
