Following up on my post from last night, here is the ‘undercard’ from my request for a message/guidance from my Tarot of the Crone deck. I love this deck; it never fails to respond to my inquiries with astonishing insight and wisdom.
The main card in response to my request for guidance on all of our behalf at this particular moment in time was the Grandmother of Wands.
The ‘undercard,’ the card quite literally on the bottom of the deck when I chose the main card (whether that main card was from the top of the deck or anywhere else - in the event I’m moved to ‘draw it out’), was the 7 of Wands.
Generally, I consider the bottom card to be a foundational card, one that may add nuance or subtle guidance to the primary message of the main card. It can sometimes offer a means of implementing a strategy or energy suggested by the top card. Or it may add context and simply bring a sense of greater understanding of the meaning of the main card.
As always, no matter who is drawing the cards, if it is being done on behalf of a collective, then each of us much trust our own intuitive ‘hits’ as to what the message(s) are for ourselves. That’s true even as far as interpreting the way the guidebook utilizes certain words or employs unique turns of phrase. We all have our unique filters through which we interpret the world and thus the messages we receive.
The message very well may mean different things for each one of us.
Here, then is the powerful card that arrived to support our Grandmother of Wands:

Seven of Wands ~ Risk
“To go to further, to be more
I will light the match I will fan the flames I will dance with danger
Let Power lead
A cloaked figure stands with arms outspread amidst flames and lines of raw power. She plays with fire, as well as opening herself to let power play with her. She is willing to embrace danger in the hope of further achievement, knowing that sometimes you have to take chances. Trust your experience gained thus far; you know when something has potential. It’s time to take a real risk, but not a blind one. You know you can’t stay comfortable where you are. There’s more you want. So let the discomfort goad you into creating a more powerful future and investing in a proposition. Go stand out on that limb.”
It sure seems like we’re being urged - right now - to really and truly decide where each of us will take our unique stand. The stakes are rising rapidly. We are indeed being ‘goaded’ into investing in the proposition of just what type of society, culture, and world we want to live in and leave to our progeny.
This is our time. This is our future. It’s time to risk it all - if we don’t, we’re on course to lose it all anyway.
Wow. Love the imagery from both cards. And you are right; do nothing and it is all taken from us. Do something and maybe it gets taken, anyway, but ... maybe .... Thank you, as always, Lisa. It blesses me to have coffee "with you" in the mornings. Peace.
Just read a good article today about creating “Sanctuary Communities”,
which I thought was meaningful and appropriate…
