Just this weekend I found out that my dear friend Renee’s oracle deck, Wind Walker’s Wisdom Oracle, which was just published in December, has been nominated in four separate categories to receive a prestigious Tabi/Carta Award! I couldn’t be more delighted for my friend – and for the deck. It’s important that quality work be recognized.
Wind Walker’s Wisdom Oracle, which I wrote about briefly back in December here, is a gorgeous deck of oracle cards bringing guidance and support from the perspective of the winds. It’s an distinctive and unique oracle deck with a wonderful accompanying guidebook.
I consider myself somewhat of a connoisseur of oracle and tarot decks and tend to have extremely high standards for all the various details that make a great deck. From the imagery and artistry depicted on the cards to - of course - the way the accompanying guidebook is written and whether the messages of the cards spark my intuition and imagination.
Beyond those absolute essentials, I am picky about the feel of the deck in my hands, the card stock used, the way the guidebook is organized, right down to the font used for both the cards and the guidebook.
Renee’s deck checks all the boxes and exceeds even my high standards, so I wasn’t surprised in the least when she notified me of the deck’s four nominations.
If you haven’t yet purchased your own deck (it looks like they’re sold out on Amazon, which is all for the good, in my opinion, since you might as well order it directly from the author and deprive Bezos of a cut!), I urge you to do so right away. In the meantime, you are still welcome to vote for the deck in all four categories!
Visit the Tabi/Carta website and peruse the nominations. I hope you’ll vote for Wind Walker’s Wisdom Oracle in the following categories (and remember – you need to vote in each category):
Best Oracle Deck
Aspiring Debut Author (Renee Baribeau)
Outstanding Artistic Achievement
Best Accompanying Book
I’ve found some wonderful tarot decks through the years via the Tabi/Carta nomination and voting process. The organization’s selection process is rigorous. This is quite an honor for Renee and her deck and, again, I hope you will endorse this work of art and guidance.
